UKHarvest are proud to work with Clarion Futures, the charitable arm of Clarion Housing Group, on many projects. Clarion Futures have provided funding to ensure that our vans can continue to deliver food to vulnerable people in the communities that they support and as part of their programmes which aim to benefit their residents, we have delivered education programmes, both face to face and online.
Summer Chefing
With the UK lockdown in full effect, we turned virtual to host our latest education series Summer Chefing, in partnership with Clarion Futures! Taking place on Zoom, our inhouse Nutritionist and Education Team inspired our young chefs to use their summer freedom to cook vibrant and healthy meals while learning new skills in the kitchen.
Designed specifically for young people and taking place over the summer holidays, the programme soon became a welcome regular of our social calendar. Meeting twice a week, we first revealed the upcoming week’s recipe, discussed ingredients and possible swaps, before providing a pre-filmed cook-a-long video.
