Let us collect your surplus food.
Completely free of charge, we will collect your unwanted food and give to those who need it most. This can be a one-off or on a regular basis.
We collect from a variety of places including farms, supermarkets, food suppliers and events, before delivering this to charities such as homeless shelters, refuges, youth and community groups.
Who are UKHarvest?
We are a charity delivering 20 tonnes of food to 150 different charities each week across southern England! Established in 2016 we also provide education fighting the UK’s food poverty issue.
What do we take?
Any edible food that’s within it’s ‘Use by’ date!
We pick up almost anything, as long as it's food-safe and from a recognised organisation. If you're unsure, just ask!
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one. Unlike other food rescue charities, our services are completely free. We get our funding from donations, allowing us to really help those who need it.
Where do you collect from?
We collect edible surplus food, free of charge, from all types of providers before delivering to those who need it. Providers can include fruit and vegetable markets, supermarkets, hotels, wholesalers, farmers, stadiums, corporate events, catering companies, shopping centres, delis, cafes, restaurants, film and TV shoots and boardrooms.
Why do we do it?
Every year in the UK over 8 million people struggle to get enough to eat while £19 billion worth of food is wasted. At UKHarvest we bridge this gap, simultaneously eliminating hunger and reducing food waste.
