Basic Biscuits  


110g caster sugar

275g plain flour

2 teaspoon cinnamon

225g softened butter

14 chocolate hearts (or any other chocolate topping)


1. Cream the sugar and butter together with an electric whisk or a wooden spoon.
2. Add the cinnamon and flour and mix until a dough has formed.
3. Roll dough into golf ball sized amounts and flatten onto baking sheet, far enough apart so they don’t spread into each other when cooking.
4. Bake at 190C for 13-16 minutes, until lightly golden.

If you have any left-over dough, shape into balls and freeze. If your craving a quick, sweet treat just bake from frozen and add an extra couple of minutes cooking time.

Substitute 30g of plain flour for coco powder to create a chocolatey biscuit.

Get creative with shapes using your hands or biscuit cutters.
