Double your donation this Christmas and donate to UKHarvest's Big Give Christmas Challenge
UKHarvest's Big Give Christmas Challenge is Back and Bigger than Ever!
We're asking you to Save the Date for Giving Tuesday on 1st December from midday.
From 1st December, for 1 week only, every single donation made to UKHarvest's Big Give Christmas Challenge will be matched; it will be doubled. Double the donation = Double the impact. If you are able to support UKHarvest this year, please donate through The Big Give Christmas Challenge and know that your donation is changing lives in your communities.
Following the incredible support we received from everyone last year, for our Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025 we smashed our £40,000 goal. So, this year we've up the ante. Through your support we hope to raise an enormous £50,000.
This increase will make sure that more surplus food reaches people's homes, preventing food waste and ensuring that those in need do not go hungry this Christmas.
Thanks to the generous, matched funding pledged through The Big Give Christmas Challenge platform, we hope to raise £50,000 to support our warehouse, drivers, equipment and behind the scenes operations, all of which ensure that we can provide free food education, access to healthy nutritious food and meaningful connection in the community.
Our operations and kitchen teams ensure that our food is collected and sorted safely, stored appropriately, and that it reaches the people that need it quickly, efficiently and still full to the brim with nutrition. They are our unsung heroes, working in the background, without whom we simply wouldn't function.
Last year, UKHarvest collected 444 tonnes of surplus food, providing more than 100,000 instances of support and welcoming more than 30,000 visitors to our programmes across both West Sussex and West London. This enables us to educate and connect communities, tackle hunger, and collect surplus food.
Donations will directly benefit Southeast and West London communities. Thanks to the funding we received from our 2025 Big Give Christmas Challenge, we were able to provide additional funding for our food redistribution operations. All of our programmes are designed and delivered to meet the needs of each specific community. Our 15 Community Food Hubs received financial support for staff and food redistribution; our then 15 (now 20) Grub Clubs received additional funding to delivery each fortnightly session to the highest level. Funding was shared with our Community Food Hub in London, Nourish Hub, to support their daily lunch service and free cookery courses (NOURISHed) while some went to launch our new Community Cafe in Bognor.
Save the date and support UKHarvest from 1st until 8th December from 12pm.
