A2Dominion donates to UKHarvest

The successful relationship between UKHarvest and housing association, A2Dominion has gone from strength to strength. Since 2018, UKHarvest and A2Dominion have worked closely to support A2Dominion residents through rescued and redistributed food donations. UKH have also been working closely with the A2Dominion team to deliver cookery courses, community events and more recently, and very successfully, Swanfield Community Food Hub, supported by A2Dominion. In 2024, UKHarvest were their chosen charity of the year, where the staff donated tonnes of ambient food to UKHarvest as well as attending regular volunteer sessions and team building days at UKH HQ in Donnington.

We were thrilled to learn that this year, A2Dominion are continuing to support the Community Food Hub in Swanfield through an incredible £2500 donation to help ensure that their residents and others in the local community can access the fresh, healthy food they need, as well as the support services that regularly attend the food hub.

As UKHarvest continues to reach more and more households and communities across the South of England, the funds raised by A2Dominion through fundraising events and donations are more important than ever. The charity is excited to see what innovative and inventive ways the team at A2Dominion can generate awareness of the charity and much-needed funding to keep working towards our mission to nourish our nation. Dawn Wightman, Director of Customer and Communities, said: "We are proud of our partnership with UKHarvest since 2018 and all that we achieved with them as our charity of the year in 2024. Food security and tackling food waste can help communities become more sustainable, so we are looking forward to continuing to work with them over the coming year and beyond.”

Simon Thresher, Operations and Compliance Manager at UKHarvest is overjoyed to hear that of the many charities A2Dominion support, they have chosen UKHarvest sharing that “Having worked alongside and supported A2Dominion residents in Chichester for the last few years, it’s great that we can now share these experiences and expand our reach.”
