Unfortunately over 12 million of the pumpkins bought in the UK this Halloween won’t be eaten! That's a lot of food waste for a very tasty squash. Not only do they taste great, but pumpkins are a great source of beta carotene, the antioxidant that helps you see in the dark!
Household food waste makes up 70% of the UK's total food waste (post-farmgate), creating a total of 17.5 million tonnes of greenhouse gas a year! So don't let your pumpkins go to waste, instead check out our top tips below to avoid the landfill.
